Dairy industry antiques need home

ephrata, Pa. -- A sizeable collection of dairy items, ranging from milk bottles and milk cans to cream separators and cottage cheese shovels is for sale. Currently owned by an 84-year old woman whose husband had a long career in dairy processing, her collection will be moved to Lancaster County, Pa. in June. She is looking for a new home or homes for the myriad items she has in storage. Among the collectibles are:
• DeLaval No.10 Cream Separator w/ instructional manual. (Manual is a photocopy received from the company)
• 2 cream cans
• Small milk can
• Large milk can - electroplated - year 1939
• Small collection of cows - probably used for promotion display
• Assortment of advertisement materials - cow bells etc.
• Glass milk bottles - from gallon to 1/2 pints
• 3 “Ice Cream Chairs”- electroplated backs (one original seat/2 replaced) legs painted below
• 2 40-pound butter boxes - make great flower boxes or in shrubbery beds. Very heavy wood with metal on sides-outer edges. When butter became solid, bottom was punched out and butter was cut in 1-pound pieces to be wrapped.
• Ice tongs
• Small ice cream hand crank
• Cottage cheese shovel
• Numerous tools
