PHA inviting entries for state show
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Holstein Fall Championship Show will be held on Tuesday, September 10, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Large Arena of the Farm Show Building in Harrisburg. Steve Shaw from Williamsburg, Pa. will place the classes.
Pennsylvania Holstein members interested in exhibiting at the Fall Championship Show are reminded that they must enter the All-American Dairy Show using the All-American entry forms and abiding by their entry deadlines. You must enter the All-American Open Holstein Show to be included in the Pennsylvania Fall Show. The early entry deadline is Friday, August 9.
Members may enter either using the entry forms from the All-American Premium Book or you may enter using the All-American’s online system.
The online method is a handy electronic alternative to the traditional way of mailing entries, for both junior and open exhibitors. Visit www.allamerican.state.pa.us
Along with recognizing class winners in both the open and youth shows, PHA will be announcing the 2013 All-Pennsylvania winners, based on placings from the Spring Show, regional shows and the Fall Show.
An additional highlight will be the selection of the 2013 Keystone Futurity winner. The Futurity class will be shown on Tuesday as part of the Fall Show.
The All-American Dairy Show is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. There are numerous activities planned during the week of September 7-12; PHA hopes many of their Pennsylvania Holstein members will be in Harrisburg to see great cattle and help celebrate 50 years of the All-American Dairy Show.
All Pennsylvania Holstein enthusiasts are invited to get their entries into the All-American Dairy Show postmarked or entered online by Friday, August 9, for the lowest available entry fees.
