Dairy farming presented to the public in first-class style
Reid and Diane Hoover and family of Brook-Corner Holsteins, Lebanon County, Pa., opened their farm to 5th graders on Friday, October 11, and to the general public on Sunday, Oct. 13, drawing a combined 371 visitors to their well-groomed property. With new, state-of-the-art facilities, clean animals and wagon tours, the Hoovers showed the very best that a farm can offer and visitors were impressed and delighted. Curious as the non-farm folks were about the farm, the docile herd of Holsteins appeared to reciprocate the mood. Krystal Kan, 11/2 (inset) was seated just outside the parlor, waving to everyone who passed by. More pictures from the open farm day appear in Farmshine's centerfold. Photos by Dieter Krieg.
