Nittany Lion Fall Classic Sale will
feature Dairy Challenge benefit calf

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Nittany Lion Fall Classic Sale on October 26 will feature a calf to benefit the Penn State Dairy Challenge Team fund. EDG SS Nitny Lioness I-ET, a fancy July, 2013 Cashcoin daughter from Benner Snowman Brinkworth, will sell as Lot 1. The calf comes from a great genetic line. Brinkworth is a Snowman from a VG Baxter from an EX-92 Shottle. Lioness has a +2289 GTPI, and her dam is +2288. The calf is being donated by Select Sires to celebrate the career of Clif Marshall, longtime vice president of quality control and research.

Marshall was instrumental in establishing an endowment at Penn State for their Dairy Challenge teams to support training and travel for students. Proceeds from the sale of this calf will be donated to this fund. Anyone interested in joining a syndicate to purchase this calf to support the program should contact Dr. Lisa Holden no later than October 25 to be included by calling 814-863-3672 or by emailing her at lah7@psu.edu.

Currently coached by Dr. Holden and Dr. Gabriella Varga, the Dairy Challenge program has been influential in helping past and current students gain skills in decision-making, farm analysis, and communications skills.
