‘Famous Cows of Pennsylvania’ ... they’re for sale
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Holstein enthusiasts will have the chance to take home the “Famous Cows of Pennsylvania” after the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association, which will take place here Nov. 8-10 at the Penn Stater Conference Center .
The original framed painting titled "Peaceful Pastures of Pennsylvania" by artist Debbie Cornman of Boiling Springs, Cumberland County, will be unveiled at the opening event on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., and auctioned off at the anniversary banquet, Saturday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m.
“Celebrating the association’s 100th anniversary is a tribute to our membership’s dedication to the Holstein breed, and the dairy industry as a whole,” said Ken Raney, executive director of the state association. “I’ve had a sneak peak of Debbie’s incredible painting, and it will be a treasured piece for anyone’s home.”
For those not getting the final bid on the original painting, 18”x24” reprints will be available for purchase. Notecards featuring the painting will also be available in 12-packs for $10 each. The reprints and notecards will be on sale Friday evening and will also be available for purchase from the PA Holstein Association following the celebration weekend.
