Interview contest awaits Holstein Juniors

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Association (PJHA) will conduct its second annual "On The Street Interview" contest, which allows Junior members to develop skills that they can use when approached by visitors or media at fairs, shows, etc. Sign-ups will be on Friday, February 14, and the contest is Saturday, February 15, at the Ramada Inn, State College, as part of the PA Junior Holstein Convention.

Participants will compete in three age divisions:
Seniors: 18-21 years of age as of January 1 in the year of competition.
Intermediates: 14-17 years of age as of January 1 in the year of competition.
Juniors: 9-13 years of age as of January 1 in the year of competition.
Rules: The contestant will be asked a question in media fashion and have up to one minute to answer it on camera. There will be no preparation time, the question will be asked and answered immediately.

Contestants will be judged on clarity of their answer, knowledge of the subject and poise in front of the camera.

The winning interviews will be shown at the Junior Convention dinner on Saturday night.

Participants must be Pennsylvania Junior Holstein members.
