Soybean conference slated

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A seminar for Pennsylvania soybean producers, focusing on current production research, will be held February 6th at the Holiday Inn in Grantville. Farmers growing soybeans, or interested in growing soybeans, are invited to attend this free event.

The Winter Soybean Congress will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include seminars and lunch, provided courtesy of the Pennsylvania Soybean Board.

The goal of the Soybean Congress, says Pennsylvania Soybean Board Chairman William Beam, is to give producers an opportunity to benefit from the current studies funded through the soybean checkoff and allow producers to interact with researchers, crop management specialists and other growers.

The event is free but farmers are required to register in advance by calling the Board's office at 717-651-5922 or sending an email to contact@pasoybean.org. The deadline for registration is January 27.
