Central Pa. Spring Spectacular Sale averaged $2628

CENTRE HALL, Pa. -- The Central Pennsylvania Spring Spectacular Sale, held here on April 26, and hosted by the Centre/Clinton and Huntingdon County Holstein associations, averaged $2628 on 70 lots. The sale volume came to $183,925.

Commanding the top price was Lot 10, Lylehaven Fever Lizbit-ET, a winter calf that sold for $6300. Sired by Crackholm Fever-ET and out of Lylehaven Lassie (EX-94 4E), she was consigned by Lylehaven Farm, East Montpelier, Vt. Her new owners are Singing Brook Farm and Nathan Heim, Imler, Pa.

Lot 22, Heart & Soul Armani R, a spring calf, consigned by Doug and Jennifer Boop, Millmont, sold for $5100. She’s a daughter of Mr Apples Armani-ET and Heart & Soul SS Respect. F. Hayden Weaver, Ephrata, was the winning bidder.

Lot 4, MS Babydoll Gabriella-ET, a fall calf by Toc-Farm Goldsun-ET, sold for $5050. Her dam is Nipponia EDR Grace-ET (EX-94 2E). The consignor was BabyDoll Genetics of Pennsylvania Furnace; the buyer was Jenna Metzler, Martinsburg, Pa.

Going for $4950 was Lot 5, Hillmont Fever Giselle-ET, who is due in mid-May with a heifer calf by Armini x Durham Lyndi. Giselle herself is sired by Crackholm Fever-ET and out of Johnan Dundee Galaxy-ET (EX-92 2E). Luther Hillegass, Berlin, Pa., was the consignor; Elam Stoltzfus, Jr., of Mill Hall was the buyer.

Going for $4700, was Lot 45, Peach-Vale G W Atwood 311, consigned by Robert Peachey of Belleville. Due in mid-May to Sirius, she was purchased by Cody Hartle of Bellefonte. Maple-Downs-I GW Atwood-ET is the sire; Mt-Glen Outside Amity (GP-82) is the dam.

Lot 23, Hoovaty Dempsey Luck, due June 5th to Chelios, sold for $4100 to Emily Davis of Huntingdon. Sired by Lirr Drew Dempsey and out of Hoovaty Talent Leah (GP-81), she was the consignment of Reid & Diane Hoover and Bryant and Holly Hlavaty, Lebanon, Pa.

Also bringing $4100 was Lot 14, a first choice female sired by Ladys-Manor Olympian out of MS Roll-N-View NU Hannah-ET *RC. The consignment of Peila Brothers, Kulpdale Farm and Todd Galton, she was purchased by Jan Jurbala and Sandi Hock, Orangeville, Pa.

Yet a third animal to go for $4100 was Lot 13, Solid-Gold DZE Max Honor-ET, a summer yearling consigned by Double Eagle Dairy and Solid Gold Holsteins, Emlenton, Pa. Her sire is Vision-Gen SHF Maximus-ET; the dam is St-Jacob Alexander Halia-ET (VG-87). Daniel Hoppaugh, Jr., Columbia Cross Roads, Pa. placed the winning bid.

Going for an even $4000 was Woodedge Guthrie Sophia-ET, the consignment of Dustin Kauffman, Belleville. Due May 15th to Magnus, she was the purchase of Michael and Junia Isiminger, Union City, Pa. Fustead Goldwyn Guthrie-ET is the sire; Ziems Aspen Reno-ET (VG-88) the dam.

The sale staff included Matthew Lawrence, auctioneer; John Burket, pedigrees; David Lentz, Eric Smith, Nick Raggi, Tom Uber, Aaron Cornman, Nate Ulmer, Andy Foster and Ken Raney. Sale co-chairs were Eric Smith, Aaron Cornman, Lisa Cornman, June Kocher, and Andy Foster.
