Mercer County prepares for new royalty
MERCER, Pa. -- Just in time for "June Dairy Month" Mercer Countians will receive their new 2014-2015 Mercer County Dairy Princess on Friday, May 30th. The 2013-2014 Pennsylvania Altemate Dairy Princess, Brooke George, the daughter of John and Angie George of Jackson Center, will be crowning the new princess here at the Leslie N Firth Educational Leaming Center, located 1.5 miles north of Mercer on Route 19.
The evenings festivities will begin with a "cow-tail" hour at 7 p.m. followed by the banquet at 7: 15 p.m. The pageant will begin at 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The catered meal will cost $11 for adults, ages 9 and up; and $5 for children over 4.
