Select Sire Power schedules customer appreciation meetings

TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. -- Select Sire Power, the member cooperative for Select Sires that covers the sales area from Maine to Florida, has announced their customer meetings for 2013. The meetings have become a traditional way of informing members of the business of the cooperative while also serving as a way of showing appreciation for continued strong growth in the area.

The 2013 meetings will include an update on another record-setting year that Select Sires completed in 2012. The featured speaker will be Charlie Will, vice president of dairy sire procurement for Select Sires. Charlie will give a bull update and talk about how Select Sires is positioning itself to continue to be the genetic leader in the future. As always, there will be plenty of good food and door prizes.

Any member/customer of Select Sire Power or anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to attend. The meeting locations and times are as follows:

• Tuesday, January 15, 11:30 a.m., Shady Maple Restaurant, East Earl, Pa.

• Wednesday, January 16, 11:30 a.m., Barnyard Restaurant, Mifflinburg, Pa,

• Thursday, January 17, 11:30 a.m., Southern Cove Fire Company, Replogle Building, 145 Replogle School Road, New Enterprise, Pa. (New location)

Reservations should be made by calling 1-866-925-0234 at least five days before the meeting you plan to attend. In the event of inclement weather, this number will also serve as the meeting update hotline.
