PDPPS hires two to spearhead program

COCHRANVILLE, Pa. -- The Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Services, Inc. (PDPPS, Inc.) has named Laura Daubert of Shippensburg as the new administrative director and Onalee Smith-Hall of Meadville as the new program director.

“Laura brings strong organizational skills and dedication to PDPPS which is vital for its success and growth. She has a passion for the dairy industry having been born and raised on a dairy farm and serving as Franklin County Alternate Dairy Princess. We are pleased to have Laura on our team,” stated Charlene Ranck, chairperson for PDPPS.

Laura will be responsible for the daily administration of the program initiatives and financial records.

Laura earned her bachelor of science degree in agribusiness management with a specialty in marketing and sales from Penn State in 2008. Her work experience has been with the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau as their committee director and regional organizational director. She and her husband, Jared, live in Shippensburg with their daughter.

“Onalee brings strong leadership to our organization through her education and previous work experience in human resources. In addition, she has a deep passion for the dairy industry and promotional efforts. We are pleased to have Onalee on our team,” affirmed Charlene Ranck.

Onalee will be responsible for all program initiatives, state-wide dairy promotions, program administration, budgeting and fundraising efforts for the program.

Onalee earned her master’s degree in educational leadership at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and her Certificate of Supervisory Skills in 2003. Since then she has had a career which included sales executive/career placement coordinator and human resources manager. She served as a Pennsylvania State Alternate Dairy Princess in 1991 and now lives in Meadville with her husband, Tom, and their daughter.

PDPPS, Inc. is a premier dairy promotional and educational program for young people across the state of Pennsylvania. Its mission is to promote wholesome dairy products and train young people to serve as dairy industry promoters now and as agricultural leaders in the future.
