SOMETHING DIFFERENT

There are no cows in this picture, but rest assured that dairy cattle do reside in the fertile valley, as well as the higher ground that gracefully cradles the Elbe River near Dresden in the southeastern corner of Germany. As is true for the whole of Germany, it is scenic and meticulously cared for by farmers and non-farmers alike. This picture was taken at a scenic overlook by Siegfried Göbel, whose son, Martin, was an exchange student in Lancaster County.
